Historic TSRA Candidate Forums
Traditionally the annual Board of Director Candidate Forums were hosted by The Sea Ranch Forum. Many were recorded by Walt Custer and made available to watch on DVDs. The Sea Ranch Forum in cooperation with The Sea Ranch Association's Archives Committee is transforming those disks into videos available on YouTube. Some years are missing and if you happen to have a copy and are willing to loan them to us, we would be happy to add them to our list of historic candidate forums.
We are missing years: 2011, 2014, 2017 and would also welcome older recordings as well.
The Sea Ranch Forum's last traditionally held candidates forum was held in 2019, the year that the Forum ceased running these meetings. Then, the pandemic hit and the structure of the forums changed to using remote technology via Zoom. George Calys acted as moderator in 2020 and 2021. He graciously gave me permission to crosspost them here.
Then a resolution of the Board of Directors assigned the responsibility for the official Candidates Forums to the Election Committee.
The 2022 Candidates Forum is available online at the TSRA.org website, to access the video scroll to the bottom of the page to where you will see "related videos," then arrow down until you can get to the Candidate Forum video. There is an icon for a bulleted list which will bring up chapters, so if you wish to see a particular candidate you can do so. (Sorry but there is no direct weblink to that video that I could find.)
The 2023 Candidates Forum will be held on Saturday, April 15th from 10-12 noon in person at the Del Mar Center Hall and also on Zoom. For more information on that upcoming meeting, refer to the TSRA website.
