California 2nd Assembly District Candidates Debate
The Sea Ranch Forum hosted a candidates forum so that coastal voters could a chance to hear directly from the Assembly candidates and ask them questions in order to cast an informed ballot. This was a hybrid meeting with in-person attendance at the Del Mar Center Hall 40600 Leeward Road and over remote via Zoom.
Questions were sent ahead of time and some were submitted the day of the event.
Mike Greer - Republican and Chris Rogers - Democrat were the speakers. George Calys and Paula Smith were the co-moderators.

Unfortunately there were some difficulties with the audio/visual equipment at the beginning of the event. Tech support was requested and the equipment worked better as the meeting progressed. Audio was not recorded at the beginning, so this recording starts after the candidates' opening statements were made.
There was a reception after the debate at the Del Mar Center House so voters were able to mingle with the candidates and ask follow up questions.
The California ballots have been put in the mail on Monday, October 7th, so this was a timely event to help voters make an informed choice.
Linda C. McCabe - Chair of The Sea Ranch Forum
We received a thank you letter from Chris Rogers after the event. Here is a copy of it.
And for the record, Chris Rogers won the Assembly seat with a comfortable margin of victory. As of November 17th the vote was 66.2% for Chris Rogers and 33.8% for Michael Greer.
The Sea Ranch Forum is not an official function of The Sea Ranch Association. It is organized by Sea Ranch members and is independent of the Board of Directors and staff.
